Independent Regulator to put fans at the heart of football - so why not get involved

— 2 minute read

There has never been a better time to become involved with the Robins Trust – either as a member or a volunteer.

Today has seen the long-awaited publication of the Government White Paper – A Sustainable Future – Reforming Football Governance.

In the words of the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, it will "put fans back at the heart of football." A pledge that the Robins Trust categorically supports.

The white paper runs to 100 pages and contains some pretty complex regulatory language, so we wanted to try and explain what it means in simple terms.

And, more importantly, as the media focuses on matters like a super league, work-permits and distribution of funds in the Premier League, what it means for our club.

We also want to show how YOU the Cheltenham Town fans can help shape the future of both our club and the wider structure of football in the weeks and months ahead...
