Ahead of this year's AGM, we've posted our most recent accounts here: https://www.robinstrust.org/images/robins-trust-accounts-31-05-25.pdf

Co-Chairs' Statement to accompany the Accounts:

The past year has represented a steady period for the Trust amid the most significant changes that the Club has undergone in a generation.

During the period covered, the Trust enjoyed membership growth and revenue growth. At the end of May 2025 we had 374 full members, representing a 39% increase on the previous year’s accounts. We are incredibly grateful to how fans reacted to our Building for the Future document which prompted this increase. We are also pleased to see an increase in monthly investors amongst the membership, with subscriptions reaching £7,745 for the year ending May 2025, or an increase of 51% on the previous year’s accounts. In total our revenue reached £9,893, a 41% increase on the previous year.

When it comes to our day to day activity during the year, the changes at the Club meant we at the Trust had to be proactive and reactive as the situation evolved. For example, we had to make sure we were in a position to represent the fans during any potential discussions with investors which meant a lot of work behind the scenes. We also continued to work on our Trust 2030 Vision, but progress was stalled because we had to wait to see if there was a new owner and how we would work with them.

Our increased shareholding was a pivotal factor in the role the Trust played in the Club’s search for new investment and ownership: it meant that we had to be consulted and considered throughout the process and we were invited to regular update meetings with the Club Board. As it was possible that a bidder would seek to acquire the Trust's shareholding, we were required to clarify the process that would have taken place in the event of an appropriate bid being made for our stake, meaning that there is now a robust and transparent protocol in place for any such move in the future.

The upshot is we are pleased to have retained our shareholding and to be co-owners with the new majority-owner Mike Garlick.

Our additional shares were purchased last year and we are currently in the process of arranging the repayment of the loan to the individuals who provided the funds. We thank them for their generosity, trust and belief in the important step of increasing our shareholding.

The financial information summarised at the start of this statement resulted in positive cashflow for the year. However, the changes at the Club over the past 12 months have meant that we have held back further investments during this period. It was also important for us to have cash reserves for eventualities such as legal and financial advice. We have potential corporation tax to pay on retro shirt sales, which is where advice is most needed.

In the year ahead we are looking forward to working with Mike Garlick, the Board, and the Shadow Board on fundraising and projects for the benefit of fans. We will also play an important role as all parties navigate the new regulation and requirements of the Football Governance Act.

We will also be finalising our Trust 2030 vision which we have drafted following input from members and fans over the last 18 months. This will be a plan for the next five years for our supporters' trust. Our action plan will be three main goals will be:

  • More and better engagement
  • To grow the Cheltenham Town community
  • To show good governance and leadership

By doing this, by 2030 we want to achieve:

  • Growing the number of members to represent thousands of supporters.
  • Further establishing the Trust as a fundamental pillar within the Club’s community, with a clear purpose and supporting projects and initiatives that improve our Club.
  • Playing a vital role as part-owner in making CTFC the successful and prosperous Football Club we know it can be.

We thank all Members for their valuable contributions over the last year and for your support, and we are excited to represent you and all fans in the year ahead.
