Success for Robins Fan, Adam! Is there any help for Michael?

— 2 minute read

The Trust were contacted in the summer with a request for assistance for Robins fan Adam, previously a regular visitor to Whaddon Road home matches. Adam uses a wheelchair and relies on transport to and from the stadium and unfortunately his regular transport had come to an end.

Thanks to fellow Robins fan Gavin Garthwaite helping, Adam was able to attend the home fixture on 19th November against Wycombe Wanderers. Adam reported that he really enjoyed the match and being back at Cheltenham Town. We are sure the 1-0 result made it extra special too! Thanks Gav. Hopefully Adam will be able to enjoy more matches in the future.

We have also recently been made aware about another long standing Robins fan in difficulty.

Season ticket holder Michael is 79 years old and has been supporting Cheltenham Town for an amazing 64 years! Michael uses a standard size wheelchair and is partially sighted. He is no longer able to enjoy live football as he needs transport to and from Bishops Cleeve and assistance around the stadium.

He can listen to the radio at home but misses the live atmosphere at Whaddon and Road. If anyone thinks they might be able to help Michael to enjoy an occasional match or would like to find out more, please email Jenny, slo@ctfc.com
