The Robins Trust is proud to jointly launch Proud Robins - the official LGBTQ+ supporters network at Cheltenham Town FC

— 2 minute read

Members of the Robins Trust board have been working on its establishment for many months and we are delighted to have joined forces with the Club, the Football Supporters Association and the Community Trust to make this long-term ambition a reality.

Proud Robins’ purpose is to support and build LGBTQ+ inclusion and acceptance for fans, players and staff at Cheltenham Town FC.

This will be a group for LGBTQ+ Cheltenham fans, allies, together with their family and friends - providing a welcoming space, as well as a platform from which to raise awareness of, and campaign against all forms of discrimination and inequality, and particularly homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in football.

To coincide with the Rainbow Laces campaign, Proud Robins will launch officially ahead of our home match against Lincoln City on Saturday.

Sam Lear, a founder of Proud Robins and Robins Trust board member said, “This marks a positive step forward for the Club in terms of their diversity and inclusion efforts. Proud Robins exists to build on the great work of previous years to provide a permanent and visible point of reference for LGBTQ+ supporters and allies. I am thankful to the Club and the Robins Trust in particular for their sterling efforts to bring this network to life.”
