Open letter to the Cheltenham Town F.C. Board of Directors regarding communication from the Club

Dear Cheltenham Town Board of Directors,

We are writing to you as Co-Chairs of the Robins Trust to request that the Club Board provide an update to supporters regarding recent changes and the direction of travel as soon as possible.

We believe that much of the discontent that is being displayed is due to the fanbase feeling left in the dark and neglected by the Club into which they devote so much passion, time and money.

We know David Beesley has asked his fellow Directors to address this on numerous occasions and has indicated that fans are particularly keen to hear from Mike Garlick, but if that’s not possible in the immediate term, then an update and a sincere commitment towards regular communications from the Club would help the current situation.

More communication from the Club featuring new signings, covering off-the-pitch changes, and plans for any improvements around Whaddon Road and the facilities would fill a gap currently filled by speculation and gossip.

We hope you will note that the issue of poor communication was raised in the Club Board to Trust Board meeting in June 2024 and a commitment to improve communication was made by the Club Board. We understand that the takeover took up a lot of time over the past few months, but it is disappointing that this continues to be a real issue at our Club.

We hope you will consider this request and provide an update to fans and commit to regular future updates. If the Robins Trust can provide a channel for communication in any way, we are very happy to help.

Kind regards,

Jaimie Henderson & Sam Nair Co-Chairs, Robins Trust
