Robins Trust x Hope and Glory Present Robins Retro range #03

— 2 minute read

Pre-order before end of 2nd June 2024.

Following our 1986-88 Duraflex and 1988-90 Gulf Oil editions, the choice for our third retro outing was clear and obvious:

The 1996/97 home shirt.

Paul Gascoigne had dental troubles in Hong Kong, but recovered to score THAT goal against Scotland in Euro 96, Alex Ferguson continued to live rent-free in Kevin Keegan’s head, Peter Shilton hit 1,000 League appearances, and Steve Cotterill arrived, leading Cheltenham to snatch the promotion spot from the Southern League Premier Division despite finishing second.

It all started here.

Away from football, Oasis played Knebworth, a John-Squire-less Stone Roses stunk out Reading, and Jarvis Cocker significantly improved Michael Jackson’s performance of Earth Song at the Brit Awards.

Oh, and Labour took power after nearly two decades of Conservative government.

A different world.

The Robins Trust have teamed up once again with cutting edge kit-manufacturer Hope and Glory Sportswear to launch our tribute to one of the most well-known home shirts.

The shirt is available here:
